Just got yuheng's pm....iBasso has landed!

Since it looks like this Sunday at Sunway will not be convenient to some of us, we shall have to pospone this one to sometime later next week. This should give us some time to burn in our iBassos - in time for the next TT. rclxms.gif rclxms.gif

Totally in love with your sounds at your house (prefer it now then before). Cheers......
And did bsl perform for you his amazing magic trick of producing carton after carton of CDs from out of seemingly nowhere? I think he's got an underground basement full of music treasure lah!

The other is another soundtrack from 1964 Wonderful Life - Cliff Richard and The Shadows !.
Man o man, I must gate crash your place - Wonderful Life is one of my favorite Sir Cliff the Richard songs....still sticks in my mind lah.

"Birds in the sky, all~all flying up high,
They seem to sigh, it's a WONDERFUL Life.
Fish in the sea, they all long to be free,
Yes they too agree, it's a WONDERFUL Life!!!!"

Ah, reminds me of those carefree lazy afternoons back home in the kampung so long long ago.......

Whoa.. you memang 'evergreen' ler... ekekekeke biggrin.gif
Err, how's the PSU coming along?
Yep, the lyrics are still embedded in my head.....and I was in Standard 5 when I played that album on my dad's Telefunken automatic record player plus AM radio console with VALVE amp. Today, my kids blast bloody Linkin Park rubbish on their game PCs (paid for by you-know-who) and laugh at my taste in music......

The PSU....happy to report the components are all soldered on the circuit board except the TR1 and heatsink. So it won't be too long before I plug it in to the mains. If you read in the news about a mysterious explosion in Subang Jaya and the appearance of a burnt crater where a house used to be, then you know I didn't do it right. laugh.gif

Nothing to do? Tonite got F1 qualifying at midnight, then Rugby World Cup Final.....no sleep until dawn. Yawn.

First, we need to have a TT session to do the break-in feasibility studies. Note: bsl will be present to note those in attendance (for the impending police report).

Drinks on me again. This is great fun - I make the offer, but someone else will insist on paying anyway. rolleyes.gif

Haha ask March or Jazzy la. I think next weekend somewhere near Kota D'sara (near Ikea/Mutiara D'sara/Tropicana) tongue.gif tongue.gif tongue.gif
Sorry that place's not my territory....I don't know any good TT shop there.

Do you guys prefer a lunchtime meeting or after dinner one? I like lunchtime ones - can ponteng from work after that. Just tell my boss it was an extended business lunch lah.

Perhaps we should wait for dgrebel to report in before making any decisions since he's one of our DIY projectees (is there such a word?) grandspy, kenzo, mikelanding and others who want to join in, please make your suggestions too. But this TT's more for the DIY group. I think there will be another TT session coming up for the Head-Fi/iBasso etc around Deepavali time, so don't fret if you can't join us.

My first proposal is Saturday, 3rd November, ~ lunchtime. Place: will leave it to you two, MadZiZ and jazzy since you know the area.

At the moment I will be on standby for something interesting on every night indefinitely.....another hobby demanding my attention lah. Unless you guys want to take up this `expensive' hobby too. sweat.gif

Then it wouldn't be a 'secret' anymore.... biggrin.gif
As a self appointed magistrate of the Mahkamah Sivil LYN, I hearby order jazzy939 to reveal his secret or face punitive action during our next TT session.

If I can chase away my customers in the office by 2.00 pm today, I should be there around 3.00pm. Want to get a nice knob for my completed PSU (jazzy, it's working! Heehaw!) plus maybe a voltmeter panel, a couple of leds, and anything which grabs my eye. sweat.gif

Ya, wui223, better delete your contact details quick.

jazzy, if you're going to JP this afternoon too, give me a tinker. I need your advice on how to connect up the panel meter and the pilot lights before I put my money down lah. biggrin.gif

BTW what kind of pilot light are you getting? I just use a neon for the mains power(simple, cheap also) You can use LED for that also.. just need a series resistor...
That's what I need to consult you on before I buy..... I guess the neon for the mains is a no brainer. However, should I put some kind of led indicator for the output? Maybe no need if I have a panel meter, I guess. But having leds make it sexier, haha.

Okay, I'm going offline now. See you in JP if you guys decide to go. Cheerio.

Got myself a VR knob, a small neon pilot light, and some connectors for the PSU. Decided to skip the panel meter, keep it simple.
