I don't think there will ever be a TT Session at bsl555's... any 'session' there is for 'invited guests' only...

Perhaps we should wait for dgrebel to report in before making any decisions since he's one of our DIY projectees (is there such a word?) grandspy, kenzo, mikelanding and others who want to join in, please make your suggestions too. But this TT's more for the DIY group. I think there will be another TT session coming up for the Head-Fi/iBasso etc around Deepavali time, so don't fret if you can't join us.
My first proposal is Saturday, 3rd November, ~ lunchtime. Place: will leave it to you two, MadZiZ and jazzy since you know the area. At the moment I will be on standby for something interesting on every night indefinitely.....another hobby demanding my attention lah. Unless you guys want to take up this `expensive' hobby too. |

Heheh.. I finally got to further upgrade the parts in my X-Cans PSU section, pushing the sonic quality a nudge better than before..as far as I can hear on my lousy headphones. Its fast, very revealing and exceptional clarity. I think I've hit the end of the road with it and play the thingy "as is".

oh.. thats so sweet of you.. thanks, I appreciate that! I am planning to grab the yulong DAC from yeah guyz tonite. Will be going to JP to get the necessary stuffs for the DAC assembly. The housing will be coming from Bangkok via mikelanding.. just small components; transformers, RCA jacks, IEC socket etc. I'll think of something for you ya...
Are you on any DIY kit at the moment? I need to build a pre-amp.. see if you can surf the web etc for a good design.. i simply don't have time for that anymore... If I can chase away my customers in the office by 2.00 pm today, I should be there around 3.00pm. Want to get a nice knob for my completed PSU (jazzy, it's working! Heehaw!) plus maybe a voltmeter panel, a couple of leds, and anything which grabs my eye.

Traffic was a killer since last night.. was cursing you know who for the 'bersih' demonstration.. took me more than an hour to reach KL from the usual 30 minutes... In UK, its a fashion that many local audio nuts would rent a barn, school hall or meeting room and hold their meetings where curious outsiders are also welcome to the world of DIY and audio nuts..
This satay shop is small and with limited tables..AND ONE PLUG POINT!.. Not too many people as in a "big crowd"..maybe up to a dozen people would be just nice..like in the last meet.. |

I think for the DIY TT sessions, it has to be kept relatively small (as bsl555 said..up to a dozen)....otherwise we might not have time to pay attention to the projects on hand because too many different interests will come up (and we currently have only 2 sifus to help everybody). It might be okay once in six months or so to have a bigger gathering...but as we have experienced with this one, it is difficult to come to a consensus on the place, date and time to suit everybody. For the headphone/headamp meets it's different because ppl will split into subgroups depending on what's on show.
I was thinking of wui223 and seeing he's so keen to join us, how about pushing this to Sunday afternoon? It's not quite as suitable for me, but I think I can `curi' out from home on a Sunday afternoon just this once lah. What to bring? I guess anything one has DIYed, is DIYing or planning to DIY. On the other hand, what the heck, bring your whole Hi Fi if you can manage it! |

Should be fine for me.
If Sunday afternoon, then better be early abit...prefer start around 12 or 1pm then hopefully can finish around 3-4 or 5 if thing drag abit late. I think nowaday, North-south highway traffic condition is much better since the 3rd lane extention is almost completed. So, travel in 'peak" hour still ok.. |

i think sunday i can come. daytime is fine for me. i can only bring my CMOYs unless there is someone bring speakers and CD player/portable player. i got an amp made of TDA2005, a stereo speakers poweramp which is portable.
