Hi guys,

I just realized my 13amp socket comes without earthing.

Is there anything i need to worry?
Any simple and less costly way to fix this without getting electrocuted in the future?

Less safe can get electrocuted by appliance if got leakage current. But the RCCB will still work, nowadays most new houses built 15 years ago no longer use ELCB, all use RCCB/RCD that doesn't need earth wire. Just make sure your RCCB is rated @100mA or lesser, not 300mA

Best is still put the earth wire la but then many euro appliance come in 2 pins only right.

anyway, just extend earthing wire from other socket je to affected socket je la.

How come there's no earthing in the socket? Was it used for some specific application?

I know some vacuum plugs do not have earth wire if the vacuum's body is mainly made of plastics.

earth dont prevent u from kena shock fyi.

but my computer do shock me if no earthing wire were not connected (with 3 pin to 2 pin socket adapter)

Only small room je. Not all socket.

And it loop to living for lighting purposes.

So i worry kena electrocuted.
But expect use moderate wattage of appliance only.

Totally wrong...

The purpose of earthing is to prevent shocks... It's not needed if the appliance is made of plastic.. if metal, need.

yes, don't plug anything of metal enclosure to that socket.

Btw guys is RCD socket can fix this issue?
