Grab driver I talked to just now said to me if I want to rate, better give 5 stars or don't rate at all.
Is rating Grab driver below 5 stars too low for them?

Look at what it means. 3 star means OK. 5 means perfect.

Was your ride perfect? Aircond right temperature, driving smooth no jerking, no irritating music, no weird smell, follow road rules, seats are comfortable? If all good then only 5 stars.

Yes rating under 4.8 star grab will ban them from driving.

Grab dont care because 1 driver ban another 100 new comer driver

i will rate 5* based on the cleanliness and attitude. If the driver ask me to rate 5*, i will rate 2* and below. never ask your customer to rate. They know how to rate you based on your performance.

I always rate 4 or 5. Oni once I rate 3 bcos driver insult me.

but bad crazy driving/air con issue/dirty rate 2
rude i rate 1 easy.

nothing is perfect in life, therefore i always give max 4 stars, whether it's Grab, lazada, shopee, whatever.

If driver drive like pussy / dirty car, I give 3 star.
If driver car dirty but drive like pro = 4 star.
Drive like pro, fast macam gangster + clean = 5 star

If u give your best, your boss only max rate u 4 stars

Or, if you do 100% in exam, your teacher max rate u 80%

i'm used to that already in life, never got 100% in exams, and never got 5 stars from boss, so i'm fine never giving 5 stars myself.

My simple rule

if I arrived at my destination safely I would rate 5 stars.

If got problem I won't rate at all I would just raise the issue to Grab customer support.

Edit: I will add tips on top of the 5 stars if the driver really nice and polite. If just normal I will give 5 stars but no tips.

Grab drivers sure love me. What the driver told you is true. I am the customer who rate 5 stars or don't rate at all.
