Just thought of sharing this here as I just recently done the front alignment of my vehicle at a tyre shop. I asked around 3 tyre shops and all gave different pricing for the alignement of my car. From most expensive to lowest:-

First shop - RM48
2nd shop - RM30
3rd shop - RM25

So I did the alignment of the front tyres of my car at the 3rd shop. The tyre shop is YS Wheel Auto Service Sdn Bhd, located at Bandar Mahkota Cheras, Selangor.

Mine is 2.0 C-segment sedan. The workshop didn't ask what type of car, so I think it may be the same price for all types.

The first shop asked about my car and I told him Ford Focus, and he then told me RM48.

This first shop knows what adjustment he is supposed to do on your focus, but that may not mean he would actually physically do it. Hence RM48 charges.

The second and third shops may or may not know what are supposed to be done on your focus, but at RM30/25 they are likely (I believe) not doing what should be done on said focus.

Mind sharing the alignment screenshot, if any?

Edit: Kee Hin KL gave me a sub-standard socalled alignment job, which technically is a scam job.
No, it is not about camber bolts.
Edit2: The devils are in the details.

No screenshot of alignment as didn't take any photos. Not sure about scam jobs but the tyre shop was recommended by the steering rack specialist workshop which I went to. I had no issues with the all the previous alignments done on all my previous cars for the past 30 years so this one would be the same. In my case the steering rack of my car was replaced so the alignment to the tyres is required since the steering is not at the centre with the tyres. The issue was corrected with the alignment.

A lot of alignment are scam job, if your current ride did not steer too much usually they dont do anything, just touch here n there and drive out. Unless really out too much only they do. whistling.gif

Once you up their machine, even the readings are in green or good settings they will need to charge you. So is better to know your car first before go in.
