Blu-ray

Warner Bros/New Line Cinema
Disney/Touchstone (Buena Vista)
Fox
Lionsgate
MGM
Sony Pictures (Columbia/TriStar)

HD-DVD

Universal Studios
Paramount

Paramount & Universal represents less than 30% of the American film industry. And Paramount only has to be HD-DVD exclusive for only 15 months more.

If they can find other smaller movie studios to back the HD-DVD camp, they still stand a chance though.

Does this mean that Batman Begins will also come in Blu-ray? drool.gif  drool.gif

Well, that is if the movie is released after May 2008, if not, you might see it on both formats HD-DVD and Blu-Ray.

I got internal news that Microsoft is going to come out with BD for XBOX 360.

Just rumours, they even mentioned XBOX 360 Ultimate with built in HD-DVD drive.

And yes I did. laugh.gif
But if in the future BD wins, I think M$ have to take up
BD also. No choice tongue.gif

From the way you put it, your internal source is purely based on rumours. Whoever wins will not affect Microsoft because the XBOX 360 is only using dual layered dvds for its games, the movie playback part is purely optional. Only the successor to XBOX 360 might be using a different media to combat piracy, not necessary blu-ray or hd-dvd format, it could be a proprietary format like Yamaha's GD-Rom for the Dreamcast.
