Excellent. Through the RX-V1800, the crappy analog Astro is now upsacaled and transfered digitally through HDMI to my TV. Now i'm watching Astro in 1080i (my TV does not support 1080p, yet)! The picture quality significantly improved.

aiman, tabik sama u , how much the damage?
Can't reveal yet, I got it with a special deal. If I tell, the shop might go bankrupt when everyone go to his shop asking for the same price.

Wah nice, you connect with what speakers? Yamaha also is it?
I'm so wanted to get the matching Yamaha speakers, but for now my old Sony speakers will do. For now.

My wallet damaged big time already.

The Yamaha 1800 is of course superb, just that it is overkill for a room size i have here. Auditioned it before, and some may not agree, but the Yammys sound a little harsher compared to the rest. Personal preference i guess.
Cant wait to wire things up. The PS3 will not make the DTS-HD MA or the even the Dolby TrueHD light up on the receiver, but my Onkyo DV-HD805 will. Put in Pan's Labyrinth, and voila!

If the RX-V1800 sound is too harsh-y you can adjust the EQ to natural. My old speakers has never performed this good before. I don't have a DTS-HD MA blu-ray yet, still waiting for my Die hard 4 and other BDs to arrive. So haven't had the chance to test it yet. In theory, the DTS-HD MA should lights up on the RX-V1800, only it will be downgraded to 5.1 instead of 7.1. This is mentioned in the PS3 manual.
Onkyo in Malaysia keeps changing it's local distributor. With the current distributor, those who bought Onkyo equipment before them would suffer because the new one won't cover the warranty, you have to pay for it. You'll never know when they'll change the distributor again.
