My budget:Below RM2k Olympus SP-560UZ:+ Wide Angle + 18x optical zoom: - No Color Accent and Color Swap - Slow response (SP-550UZ has slow response, not sure abt this SP-560UZ) Canon Powershot G9:+ Color Accent and Color Swap - Use lithium battery - 6x optical zoom - No wide angle Canon Powershot S5 IS:+ Color Accent and Color Swap + 12x optical zoom - No wide angle - Heavy I'm still a beginner in photography, would like to get a nice prosumer camera as start. Which camera do u think is more suitable for me? I like the Color Accent and Color Swap feature in Canon (takes alot of time to do these in Photoshop i think?), and i also heard that Canon produces better photos than Olympus? Would like to hear more opinions from u guys

Canon prosumers and compacts produce vivid reds while Olympus cameras have more natural colour reproductions.
I've been using an Olympus prosumer for the past 4 years and the pictures taken by that camera is nearer to what I see compared to those taken by Canon cameras.

QUOTE(CompMac @ Oct 17 2007, 04:17 PM) Canon prosumers and compacts produce vivid reds while Olympus cameras have more natural colour reproductions. I've been using an Olympus prosumer for the past 4 years and the pictures taken by that camera is nearer to what I see compared to those taken by Canon cameras. That's perhaps a bias as I've used prosumer of Canon for that long and I see the other way around. Perhaps just rely on the reviews of the Dpreview for you tomake a better judgement.
