is there such a thing as waterproof cabinets (that look good)? i need cabinets in these areas... entrance (shoe rack), dry kitchen, wet kitchen, batroom, balcony (gardening material). my mum recently installed a waterproof metal shed outdoors at her house but i wouldn't want to see that kind of finish in my kitchen/bathroom etc

If want water resistant one...
Better aluminum types to be safe... At least won't really rusting or water damage 🙏

Foam board is more water resistant compared to melamine or plywood iinm. But cannot sustain too high heat or heavy loads

nowadays acrylic paint and solvent paint can do what you wanted, definitely not submerged the entire cabinet under water, but occasional water splashing or daily cooking there is no problem with that
if you want more extreme waterproofing can go for epoxy coating
if you want water resistant cabinet without additonal treatment, blockboard and plywood is the choice but they are not waterproof, but a little water splashing wont cause them to break apart
