i usually follow the guide provided by Game8.com. find them quite good, even from GI days.

Since I saw this is turn based, give it a quick try.
No this isn't comparable to standard PC/console RPG.

Problems:

1. the PC standalone client support gamepad control natively, but things like camera axis invert is completely missing. Overall button function could use some improvement especially when navigating menus, as [A] isn't always the button to confirm something. The "menu wheel" is quite disorientating especially with the missing of axis invert option - better use the full system menu instead.

2. since the game is turn based where player can take forever to decide what to do (there is no time limit), there really should be no issue to add more skills to characters. Current 1 skill + 1 ulti setup, is really really lacking variety when compared to standard PC/console turn based RPGs.

3. there is absolutely no character customization or item visual variety. It's funny, since this type of game is to make people spend money, yet not incorporating customization features as well as equipment skins to milk more money.

4. I not sure if the standard mobile gacha game progression system should be classify as "problem", but yeah, it's everything to be expected - different game but same underlaying system.

#2 more complexity doesn't guarantee a better game. Figuring out the team synergy, managing skill points, getting the right execution and combo is plenty of fun and engaging. I'm curious what other turn based games you mean cuz I've played my share too (x-com, civ). This game has more engagement than ME, the closest AAA title to compare to lol

#3 the chars design (combined with their fleshed out characterization) already shit on most payable cosmetics out there lol. Arguing why the game isnt soullessly going down a cash-grab route sounds wild. I'm more satisfied with the chars here than some mega titty waifu with angel wings in other game

#4 OK, you are insane. Sounds like your whole beef is with mobile game genre, proceed to still play a mobile game just to have Pikachu face reaction. Why bother picking it up in the first place if you just want to spew hate?

Seems like her kit is all in on Nihility, still not sure what to build her team around lol. She might be more fun in the future once we get more chars, but not now

Mihoyo games are cross platform on day-1 release alright, it isn't a strict mobile games that you had to play with emulator.
If this is a strict mobile game, this topic is in the wrong subforum.
I think you are the more insane ones that don't want your games to improve, but expect the same thing over and over again.

Hoyo games typically caters to mobile gamers. They just make a desktop version bc they know their player base are likely to play on desktop (emulators). Hardcore players like that one

Yeah she scales around DoT damage. So a Kafka-Sampo team should be good

Sampo is the best pairing for kafka. Use sampo skill or Ult to stack windshear & use kafka to detonate it.

Serval also is a good choice use because she can shock enemy. Kafka deal more damage to shock enemy.

If you're a whale. Pull for silverwolf use her skill to change enemy weakness & defence shred. Use tingyun to buff the heck out of kafka and use planery rendesvous lightcone.

If you have bailu u can make mono team with silverwolf. Bailu is also lightning. Planery rendesvous is team wide perks. So all lightning character got the perks because ting yun is lightning character but SW dont benefit from it because she's quantum

Based on Hoyoverse's trend...the 5* that they released, usually have some synergy with existing characters & the upcoming characters in the next few patches.

They won't release a stand-alone character that doesn't work well at the time of release.

It won't be good for business that way.

it's crazy that how easily to level up character in hsr compares to genshin and hi3.
my team already 55+, the support can use jing yuan lv70 is absolute insane, he just nuke everyone lol
