I used in France and Dubai before... just deposit some MYR before trip.. Then direct use card at oversea will auto convert latest rate.

Example if I pre-convert b4 trip. What happen if got balance in these foreign currency account after the trip? Can it be re-convert or transfer back to MYR?
*
yes you can convert back and forth as you wish but you lose the conversion fees each time.

imo, it is only worth to pre-convert if the currency rate is too good to ignore..

Any place in malaysia that can direct topup wise in USD/Euro?

Feels like if got usd then convert myr topup wise then convert usd again, you lose a lot.

why do you need to convert your usd back to myr? you can just deposit into myr then convert to usd...

from my experience, not really. wise is slightly bit more expensive compared to money exchangers.

selling point for wise is that its convenient and easy to use

my experience differ from yours. I think Wise is definitely cheaper than banks and mostly cheaper than money exchangers in my area. only one or two money exchanger's rate is better than wise and they always run out of the more popular currency..

Thanks.
Ok, so the best is to put some money into MYR, then when u swipe oversea, it will auto convert and deduct from your MYR balance, correct ahh?

Sorry WISE noob here, some guidance on how to fully utilized this would be highly appreciated.

yes correct.. another point of using wise card is you can avoid bringing lots of cash with you (prone to pickpockets) but you have to know where you are going..
