Hello everybody, I wanna ask if it is normal for a company to ask for a copy of CLEAR (without any remarks and all) NRIC ?

I'm basically hired by the company, and they asked for it after that on last Tuesday and to the submit it along with other docs by next Friday. Kinda worry to be honest.

It wasnt asked by my previous companies, so...

Some company would ask for it, but would accept candidate put double cross at the edge + write note on reason of submission. As long as it doesn’t cover important details on NRIC.

This is to avoid unauthorised use of the NRIC.

Normally don't really ask for clear IC

Because could be abused for various things...

Give the copy with crossed also accepted...
Don't know why this company demanding clear copy...

Just say it is recommended by JPN I.e.Jabatan Pendaftaran Negara.
