hello & good morning.

I'm using an Estima ACR50 2006 Model, which using a 2AZ-FE.
it currently already run near 5000km since last service (clocked at 290000km),
and I frequently get a low engine oil alarm occasionally - whenever braked suddenly/ make a sudden turn

I have asked my mechanic previously,
he mentioned that the engine may due for overhaul - as the sealant may worn-out causing some oil leak/evaporates

as his temporary solution, he suggests for top-up oil if the low-engine-oil alarm comes back.

currently the main oil flowing is 5W30, he suggested for top-up wil 5W40 of the same brand - Mannol (both is fully synthetic)

it is advisable to mix different oil thickness?

Estima engine same as any other Toyota engine usually oil consumption is due to piston ring jam or the piston wall already wear, if oil leak usually not so serious. Is advisory to get japan half-cut as some engine version later got updated piston & crankcase design which help to reduce the oil consumption issue, this only can be knew or identify by Toyota specialist as the design is quite minimal change and not much people knew about it if not into details.

This engine is famous for oil gone. Just topup every now and then and u are good. No need to do overhaul.

if every 5k need to top-up, does it consider serious?
no other problem so far, engine's running fine all the way - no weird noises, no vibrations

Did u verify the EO shortage by pulling the dipstick when the engine is cold or simply by the EO light ?

If need top up before official oil change date means engine got problem or wear already, usually if engine in tip top condition fully synthetic can last around 10k without top up. Since your engine already over 290k above, you should prepare to either overhaul/change engine or sell your ride.

5k need top up not serious.
Its ok to top different grade engine oil.

Next time, use 5w40, or 10w40 engine oil.
Advisable to top up before the warning lights comes on. Example next time just top up back to full when at 4k km.
Every time the light comes on, there is high risk of very high wear happening or even risk of catastrophic failure.

prior Raya Travel I checked, the level still at max.
but when I check just now, totally dry, damn.

I top-up 1L (that's what I have on hand at the moment),
then reading at mix.
(need to buy topup more later)

Check where the oil leak the most. I suspect it come out from oilpan gasket or valve cover gasket.

Try running ur engine and see whether alot of smoke coming out of ur dipstick hole/ oil fill hole

Worn piston ring = more blowby = increased crankcase pressure = oil leak when u are at high speed/rpm from that 2 places
