Mental illness is not only in itself considered a major social problem, it also often results from the diverse social problems individuals have to face. But mental illness is now our biggest social problem - bigger than unemployment and bigger than poverty.Anyone can experience these problems. Some people from several backgrounds and social situations are at a significantly higher risk. There are welcome new attitudes in society that are far more sensitive to mental health issues. Still, many sufferers face barriers in society, such as employment, health care, and family support. Nothing new, we all are living among us anyway.
