What is Transmission Gearbox?
A transmission is a machine in a power transmission system, provides controlled application of the power. Often the term transmission refers simply to the gearbox that uses gears and gear trains to provide speed and torque conversions from a rotating power source to another vehicle part.
The term transmission can refer to the whole drive train, including clutch, gearbox, prop shaft (for rear-wheel drive), differential, and final drive shafts. Or, it can refer more specifically to the gearbox alone, and detailed usage differs.
It common use is in motor vehicles, where the transmission adapts the output of the internal combustion engine to the drive wheels. The engines need to operate at a relatively high rotational speed, which is inappropriate for starting, stopping, and slower travel. Transmission reduces the higher engine speed to the slower wheel speed, increasing torque in the process. Transmissions are also used on pedal bicycles, fixed machines, and where different rotational speeds and torques are adapted.
Q: The new gear box better or recondition gear box better?
A: 1) Recondition gear box is cheaper than new gear box 30-60% on price.
2) Outlook is almost the same.
3) In terms of Warranty: Both is almost the same but maybe recondition gear box is longer because some of the new gear box do not offer warranty, just fix and go.
4) Durability: New gear box will not 100% stand longer too! Instead, some of recondition gear box after we modify can be more durable, smooth and powerful.
Q: Will we get a wrong quote due to technician wrong judgment?
A: Our awesome technician team all have a strong experience background. Our Operation Manager has more than 15 years experiences in car service industry and over 10 years experience in auto transmission industry. Even the rest of our other technician all has more than 5 years work experience with us. Plus, we are equipped with advance diagnostic scanner to make our judgment to be more accurate.
Q: How is the warranty claim?
A: In our bill got stated about your gear box code and warranty period. Within warranty period, we cover your gear box expenses and customer not to worry to pay extra.
Q: Is there any hidden charges for after sales service?
A: Some workshop might charge labour fee for remove/refix gear box during warranty claims because normally warranty only cover gear box but not labour. However, it is worth noting that we Will Not charge the labour cost if is our gear box problems during warranty period.
Q: How if after warranty period got problems?
A: It depends how long out of warranty period. If between 1-2 years we will charge for the faulty parts and labour only. If more than 2 years then we will suggest you to change a new gear box again.
