Hello guys, i am new on unifi prepaid, yesterday 23/4/2023 i purchased 8gb of data for RM18. But minutes after the purchase, there were 3 additional charges on my account.
I contacted unifi live agent for support, they told me they were sms changes and their system show the sms were send to those 3 numbers.

The thing is i never sent any sms or made any call. There were also no records of my phone sending any sms. You will notice that the 3 numbers are almost identical and only 2 or 3 number apart from each other and they are send almost exactly 15 minutes apart from each other.
I told them i didnt send any sms and there is something wrong with their system, they say they will investigate and get back to me.

Anyone experience this with unifi prepaid? Is their system even secure?

Below is the time line.

8.45: Purchase 8gb data from the unifi app
8.47: Receive sms from 61000 informing me i have successfully bought the 8gb data
8.49: first sms charge
9.05: second sms charge
9.20: third sms charge

Your SMS messaging app, not record of outgoing SMS?

If they don't fix it for you, port to yoodo.

Nope, no record of any sms being sent in my phone whole day yesterday

I also have this problem recently with Hotlink. I've been refunded once after complaint to MCMC. However, my credit deducted once again because of another outgoing SMS to another number. Not sure how to block this kind of numbers.

report mcmc for refund. happens to all telco. check your sms..sure some recent app push auto send sms.

privacy > permission manager

check which app have sms permission

i also have similar problem with my U-mobile prepaid. I top up RM40 to keep line active and while overseas I disabled data roaming and the balance slowly decreased and sometimes increase back but when I checked my balance its is now RM1. I have not made or received any calls except the daily marketing sms from U-mobile.

check your google account attach to this phone. AFAIK this sms send to google server to verify your phone number to link to your google account. they(google service) tend to send to local number also
