i didn't know you need to downgrade to 1.4 for jailbreaking. i jailbroke my ipod touch running 2.2 f/w....

hey.can ipod touch 2nd gen be jailbreak?

at this point in time it can't be jbroken.

its possible to be JBed right? ..as in..someday....someday....-.-..

im getting my very first apple product for my xmas, the iPod touch 2nd gen ^^...

n im gona put all my trust towards LYN apple farmers here from the Stock-pod to Pimped-pod

take note that im at 10% knowledge of what iPod could do though...n now slowly reading the facts n google around..n i think touch is fun..its like the adult version of PSP somehow (i own a psp) haha...

And yeah, i agree that the touch is the more office-based version of the PSP... Other than the usual games as well as music + video, i am using the touch for scheduling appointments, checking weather + currency rates, internet access, tracking fuel mileage, and even Facebook!

hi guys, im a new apple ipod touch 2g userm i wonder if the *shaky detector* (sorry,i dont know how we cal that) sensitive enuff,because when i play tap tap revenge,i need to shake quite rough to sense my motion when the up down cursor appear,it's easy and sensitive for left right,just up down...i wonder if its normal...and 2nd question,how long usually your battery life goes below 20% alert when you use it for net surfing...mine one does usually 3 hours... :S i wonder if its okie.last question, how can i read office files on my touch? i wanted to put some notes and stuff,but i couldnt figure a way...i've tried files lite and discover application,but they cant work if both of my lappy and touch werent online using the same router... how can i send just between lappy and touch?? sorry for bothering and i dont know if its my post going on the wrong thread... thanks... *cheers*

1. Its called an Accelerometer
2. Try shake it up and down violetly when playing tap tap, turn off the -> -< options. (its easier)
3. Wifi drains power really fast. (my battery was cut down by more than half after downloading a 174mb apps)
4. You need to buy a app Adobe LE or jail break your ipod
5. Try set up your laptop as a Accesspoint (I forgot what is it called, ad-hoc mode or something)

There's one called yellowsn0w for 2.2 iphone, but apparently its still in beta mode.

And 2nd, anyone got to get aircrack-ng to work on the touch?
I know that the wifi chip on the touch is not able to transmit packet blah blah blah, but there's a couple of videos showing that you can successfully crack the key with the touch.

hmm.. i thought the jailbreak for 2.1 has been out for awhile now? i've been using 2.1 since.. few months ago already..

for my knowledge, touch no hav camera right? but i saw some youtube tat can use X-ray application?? or this application no nid camera?

That one 'tipu-tipu' one. U have to maneuver it yourself in order for the trick to work.

let me clarify...jailbreaking 2.1 or 2.2 f/w has been out. this is not the problem. so users running these f/w in 1st gen ipod touches can run the JB.

2nd gen ipod Touch still cannot be j'broken though.

Thanks for replying me...well, i guess my battery life have some problems...i cant use over 2hours when i go online,it's like 1.30 hour it goes 20% below already,i wonder anyone of you having this problem on ipod touch 2g....

here some tips on how to save your battery life:

In settings: Fetch new Data -> set to Manually

Adjust your brightness to conserve power

Turn Location Services off

If you feel like some apps is draining your battery by running in the background, open the app and hold the home button to close the app as well as clear off the app from running in the background and waste RAM + battery.

Try keep less amount of webpages, the more pages -> more RAM -> more battery.

find a way to upgrade your f/w to 2.1 (I won't tell you how but search engines are your friend)

Jailbreak huh? Why not you spent actual $$ to buy those app and support the developer? I've spent over $200 on the apps. Sorry but I really hate cracked apps. Will it hurt much to pay at least some $$ to support the dev?
