Last time I brought something over, the host keep on saying "Eh, tak payah la susah2 bawa buah tangan.. datang jemput makan jer".. after that I never bother bringing anything hehehe
Oh, and learn to control your consumption while letting the host see that you're eating something if you're planning to go to several open houses in one day. Or else you'll suffer from overeating like I did last time lol

My in-laws when visiting relatives will usually give some of our kuih or biscuits which the host will also give their kuih or biscuits. I think it became somewhat of a "tradition" for them - back then they make their own kuih/biscuits but nowadays main beli jer.

Dunno about raya but usually I go people’s house I will bring a bottle of fine whisky
