Been looking for an air cooler for a few days.
Reason to buy: A gift to mother as she worked as a curtain tailor in a hot living room without a ceiling fan. Every time I saw her bring a small towel which use to wipe off her sweat.

So currently I am looking for Sharp145W Air Cooler - PJA200TVB and Midea MAC-107AR 7.0L Slim Tower Air Cooler.
Youtube does not have much info for air cooler comparison.

Any other recommendations to ayam?

Sharp air cooler PJA 200TVB
Wind strength - strong but loud
Size - quite big rather than tall
water size - 20 L
air cooling - not sure.
Easy to main - not sure.

Midea MAC 107 AR
Wind strength - So so but silent
Size - tall rather than big
water size - 7 L
air cooling - not sure.
Easy to main - not sure.

Why not aircond straight?

More efficient and confirm cooling.

Air cooler very noisy 1

There is no replacement for Air Conditioner.

Air Cooler will only increase the humidity made the room more humid and stuffy than it is.

just get an aircon for real.
is there reason why you want to buy tower cooler?

yes this is true, air cooler required a source like ice pack to cool air, certain time needs to changes this ice pack keep air cool.

Air cond no need, periodic maintainence only.
but of course air cooler cheaper the air cond

The portable air cond is also part of my consideration. But just wanna know if is there any air cooler that can help.
Why portable, becoz room also don't have air cond.

and air cooler u need ice pack or need refilling water


air cooler only OK if outdoor ..indoor noisy gila eventhough lowest setting

Ya, I was thinking that way too. Was asked some of ma pren, and they did not use the air cooler before and suggested aircond instead.

I got one portable air cond to let go. 1HP real air cond

Coz thinking of direct air flow to my mother will be great.
So I started to find air cooler instead of aircond.

Aircond will be my last choice.

Not useful on humid day

Just get aircond, don't need to consider other.
It's a good investment and can last long given proper maintenance.

air cooler wont help much if the place itself is hot..just slightly better.

get portable aircond or real aircond


alternatively get those ceiling hood thingy u see on roof top, it sucks out the hot air from the place.

Air cooler was one of my big regrets last time in uni. Kenot sleep at night so hot and humid

Now, be a more gooding son. Get a proper AC and offer to foot the lektrik bill.

aircond je la. for you mum also.

Air cooler have to buy those big capacity only useful. Those small2 type better don’t waste your money. Big capacity air cooler got strong wind thus will kacau your mum’s sewing process. Conclusion = not suitable for your mum’s situation.

just buy a/c boss. silent and comfortable working enviro. portable a/c noisy, eat space and not electric efficient .

Air Cooler not suitable for Malaysia coz Malaysia is humid weather. Air cooler for dry air country only suitable.
