since many people open up about cars thread today.
just want to know which china economy tire brand are good, any thought?

i dont need tire replacement now(baru saja got one of my car tires replaced), just want to know if tire is alot more costly in the future, which china tire brand that i can trust? now i could even see that china tire is 44% cheaper than a economy goodyear tire.

ya ya, i know life is more valuable, but if i already trust china phone/tv, why cant i do the same with car tire?

My old Michelin PS4 gave way while I was driving, so I had to make an emergency stop and get some new tyres. Problem was, it was past 6.30 in the evening, and no shops were still open. I just gamble stop at one shop that wasn't closed yet, and they didn't have any Michelin, Toyo or Continental in my tyre size. But they did have Landsail UHP tyres. Priced about half the price of a Continental MC5 at that time. Not bad at that price actually. Grip was good, and they didn't crack or swell. But when the time came to change tyres again, I changed to Toyo. The only reason I used them in first place was because of emergency.

the main thing about china tyres is if you driving on wet roads on when it is raining, drive 10km/h slower. Budget tyres usually bad wet performance, dry performance isn't that far off. That's what youtube tyre testing usually indicates

Recently changed from Goodyear to GITI tyres for my 2012 Altis model. Front Giti back Goodyear. I would say in terms of handling is quieter and smoother than Goodyear.

Neoterra Neosport, awesome dry performance in cornering and speed (with more noise, can fight with Eagle F1). Absolutely terrible wet performance after 20k km, I was power sliding a corner at 40kmh.

I drove for 5k km like that no faster than 90kmh even in highways knowing that death was always at the corner.

Straightaway changed to Eagle EfficientGrip once I went over a small puddle in the highway and almost lost it.

how long the tire lasts?

If not mistaken, more than 1 year, but nowhere near 2 years. Threadwear was still ok actually, but I noticed some chipping on the tyres. Nothing too serious to be honest, but I'd rather not take my chances. Normally I wouldn't think about getting China tyres. But since I got ripped off on my Michelin PS4 price, changing to the Landsail sort of helped to balance the ROI (return of investment) a bit. In case you're curious, they were Landsail LS588 Ultra High Performance tyres.

Not even 10,000km per year these days. In the days before I got the car (Audi A3), I used to do outstation work all the time. But ever since I changed cars, my outstation work requirement fell off a cliff. So basically the car only used for city driving and the occasional trips to other states. Don't remember the exact mileage though.
