I need some help determining what thermal pads to use (ie the thickness, or where) to replace for both gpu and cpu components.

Thickness unless you find the exact laptop you have on youtube you have to experiment yourself. In any case what you need thermal pad for? If for putting on vrm again look for video guide on YouTube. If for doing "use case as heatsink" mod you can change thermal paste also. But all this if you not familiar don't do, especially thermal paste if screw too tight can eff up your CPU.

i've done thermal paste, thats not an issue. My thermal pads are falling apart. i got this laptop in nov 2019.

Then easy lo just replace. Take out one piece to shop and ask this one agak2 how thick. Or measure lo use ruler. Any brands also ok la just don't buy cap ayam nameless. Thermal right or CM. Splurge on thermal grizzly if you like since so one off purchase.

update to the thread. basically just use 1.0mm pads. for everything, including gpu memory or any vrms or mosfets.
