I think the issue is not access to your Google account. You can always create an extra dedicated Google account for your tv box.

The main issue is that it is connected to your home network. If you have a NAS or another PC with shared folders. Yup, most likely it has access to that too.

If your network is relatively secured and prevents lateral network (communication within same network eg pc to pc, in this case tvbox to pc) you are relatively safe except for when threat actor decides to use your tvbox to DDoS, and your IP will get flagged. This is best case scenario.

If your network allows for unsecured lateral network communication, the tvbox will try to hack into other connected devices.

xiaomi mi box s, use Android TV OS, but with usb port you can playback external hard disk media.

certain app like AppleTV+ cannot work on realme tv stick, but works on mi box S OS.

If know how to debloat Xiaomi bloatware then Mi TV stick 4K (don't get the 1080p version, less powerful). If not Google Chromecast 4k is cheap, Fire TV Stick also quite cheap but I don't know can sideload APK or not.
