this is known issue all along
ur using android box that pirates tv shows and movies from god knows where and you're not at all skeptical that it is collecting data on you?
those that input their google play login or wav login to the android box really topkek
maybe that's how you kena hacked and get CC details leaked
if you all would take a step back and reevaluate things, you'd realize that you are too dumb to fact check every single product you buy that have certain claims
i.e. sunscreen 60spf - how would you know its 60spf? you can check at home? how often or were it tested by independent tester? you dont know and you wont know
another example, this food that you buy, you read the nutrition value, how can you confirm its so and so amount of calorie / sugar? you can test? does the gov actually enforce the testing and is it accurate?
electronic tech is the most geng. they can claim everything  but since you dont know coding and its not open source, you cant be sure its doing what it said its doing without doing anything else

But if your android box only has only legitimate apps from Playstore such as Netflix, Disney+, etc. then it should be no problem, right?

put it on a different network segment and disable inter-segment communication, not a straight forward operation though, so it's not an easy thing to do with most consumer grade routers
