Dear All,

I have a problem and would like to seek Netizen advise and experience.
I worked for a company, sorry i cannot disclose the company name now.
But i signed the offer letter whereby it has 3 mths notice period upon confirmation. After 6 mths probation, i got an increment but the notice period revised further to 6 months. I was reluctant to sign but i need the job, so i signed anyhow.

Now my ex-bos is asking me to join him in a new Company and i like everything in new company, MNC, good benefit, nice ppl, good work life balance. I know because i know some other ppl there. I m interested to join but how can i get rid of the 6mths. (sorry i think i don't have the offer letter also)

I actually think of working 1 month for the notice to really handover, then gone missing after that. And wait for the company to sue me. Anyone have experience what happen when they sue ? Anyone legal way i can work around it ?

Pls advise because i m interested in the new company.

Thank you.

If the new company in urgent need of you joining, then can nego for the new company to buy you over (ie pay for the remaining 5 months). If they are not urgent and willing to wait, no point for you to go to that extreme, just wait for the notice period to over

No company will buy out for so long one. that is the dirty trick to keep the employee, right.
