As per the topic title, I have several stray cats that live in my house yard or car porch. But with this one female, I was too late to spay her; when I brought her to the clinic, she was already pregnant.

But that's not the main problem; she becomes very aggressive after she gives birth to a kitten towards other stray cats, literally chasing them out (including a stray cat that I have spayed), and she also becomes very aggressive towards me, biting and scratching me. This has never happened before because she was tame and I just fed her.

What should I do? The cat's behaviour has become a nuisance. I have never kept them as pets or domesticated them. They just live outside and come asking for food.

Surrender her to PAWS?

All animals turn overly protective over new born even to ppl close.

Just don't touch their babies and her. Change their food, drink and litter box as usual.

Takes abit time for the cat to get comfortable

It's natural. Being protectives she is. sweat.gif She'll calm down after the kiten grow ups.

Nah, she chased out 3 other cats and they can't eat and starving.

The solution I have now is to put the cat mom in a cage like a domestic cat inside my house until she calms down/kitten grows up which is quite a hassle.

Since this so-called natural behavior has become a nuisance.
