My proton is up for service soon. Wanted to ask if had any recommendations on where should I go.

There is a thread in lowyat, but has not been updated in awhile.

This would be my second /6 month service. I previously did it at Rahman brothers in Shah Alam, where I bought the car. They overfilled the engine oil and when asked the SA just brushed it off saying it's normal and nothing wrong with it. Ended up removing the excess after I insisted. There was also another issue regarding the head unit, which I told them to check and get back to me, but they ended up ordering the part without running by me. Ended up was an issue with the setting but they insisted on changing the whole unit, which I refused.

Pendek cerita, SC tu banyak masalah dengan perangai.

So any other places, preferably near Shah Alam, but wouldn't mind going a bit out. Almost all the review I see are mixed.

Also, if it's up to me I would just but the engine oil and filter and ask my local workshop to do it, like I have been doing with my previous cars, but for warranty sake, terpaksa la.

just go to the big one in HICOM or the glenmarie service center next to Perodua.

whatever you do, dont go to Jalan Kebun.
Jalan Kebun 4S center is the stereotypical cut throat workshop.

if tyre valve is broken, they will recommend entire tyre change + rim change.
if EO overdue by 10km, they will recommend change whole engine
if front headlight burnt out, they will recommend change entire ECU board

COSE at usj usually fully book... Hard to get slot and usually need few weeks reservation... I recommend Sin Siang Hin at ss14 subang. My usual SC for normal service.

Can try the one in Kelana Jaya, or at Eco Sanctuary.

You mean Senaxis, right?

I purposely drive from far to service here for a few years already. So far no major problems.

But for certain parts like brake pads I change outside la. Cheaper.

what car u driving..if new car like persona, x50 or x70, better service centre...
if using lauya preve or exora like me, i can suggest 1 expert foreman for servicing mainly preve and exora, and that foreman also do door-to-door service

during my proton days, i went to this proton service near kampung pandan. got free food and they even wash my car after servicd (no inside vacuum but its okay)

they pindah but i dunno where

speaking of which, which tyre is okay for standard persona car? once a month will balik kampung (400km) and daily use to office, so no need high end sports tyre

Glenmarie service centre or Reiwa Motors. Both very good. Reiwa Motors did a good job, my persona had weird noises when turning with steering. They fixed it within 1 week, from diagnose, order part (steering rack), installing part. They even waived all charges for me, since my warranty just expired & had the issue.

ok la...friendly service centre (of course ada "kabel", so kalau part2 yang ambik masa nak dpt tu, blh la dpt senang dan cepat sikit)

i always go to Senaxis in PJ, already fedup with the 3s/4s nearby my area, so far Senaxis no issue
