QUOTE(Deltacron @ Apr 13 2023, 02:16 AM) first come first serve. too bad for late comers. this is the same shit at MRT 1 despite paying full cost. stop making lame excuses. unless you want a parking area at every station, is this what you want? People also forgot that Putrajaya Sentral is also nearby with ample parking space but the multi-storey parking is more expensive than MRT station parking and you need to walk more. Putrajaya Sentral MRT station also have parking too but it’s also first come first serve.

QUOTE(Chaud @ Apr 13 2023, 04:32 AM) cannot brain why still need to drive to train station and park when you can straight drive to work place direct should just build pedestrian path linking to residence area That is the whole purpose of MRT. It’s build so that people don’t need to drive to work to reduce congestion. People take MRT because they don’t want to be caught in the jam.

QUOTE(desmond2020 @ Apr 13 2023, 06:56 AM) Ayam actually quite surprise to see people expect multilevel parking at all station Those park at roadside one will park even got parking provided because they want free parking Anyway, can't take bus to station? For cyberjaya, it’s actually doable as the bus is every 30 mins and quite punctual as Cyberjaya is not so jam. However, you will need to wait longer for bus to circle route and waiting for bus to come. I tried before. If drive to the station, the whole journey until home takes about 1 1/2 hour while taking bus need additional 1/2 hour.

QUOTE(poweredbydiscuz @ Apr 13 2023, 07:41 AM) One of the most stupid things in mehsiah is you need to drive to mrt station to take the train. Even if you got bus, people still drive because you need to wait longer for buses to come and finish the route. I tried for the cyberjaya station and it added additional 1/2 hour to the whole trip.

QUOTE(poweredbydiscuz @ Apr 13 2023, 08:08 AM) That's why. I've mentioned long time ago that we should have big underground stations that cover 1-2km with many exits for people to reach different destinations. Like HK and Japan. Malaysians are not lazy to walk, they can walk in shopping malls for hours. The problem is the heat, rain and lack of pedestrian walkway. With underground they can walk seamlessly to their destination safely and comfortably. Of course, they will give all sorts of excuses that Malaysia is not suitable/no money/difficult to build underground stations. You think our residential areas are within walking distance to the stations. I stay in Cyberjaya and I still need to drive 10 to 15 mins to either of the station. What you say is doable if you stay in city center and not taman perumahan in Malaysia.

QUOTE(anakkk @ Apr 13 2023, 08:15 AM) not new la, either no parking, or not enough parking. they expect people to take the bus, but the journey of the bus could take 30-40 mins, which for my own experience, is same as the MRT ride to reach my office LOL, drives there quicker, you can control your time, sometimes the bus not on time, or left. the worst thing is when they buka puasa and you need to home, you can wait for 40mins at the station for them buka first then only they serve you. I don’t know about other areas but the Cyberjaya bus is quite punctual but they do need to follow their route and it will take longer. For me it was additional 1/2 hour only

QUOTE(poweredbydiscuz @ Apr 13 2023, 08:18 AM) If you choose to stay outskirt, don't complain about unable to walk to stations and need to take buses. That is why I say taking bus is doable and I occasionally do it. It’s just that you need to spend more time. That’s all. For those who complain, there are car parks at 2 difference stations which is just a few minutes away only. Those people who park roadside probably wanted free parking only but I think in this case there are ample space to build a car park at that station.

QUOTE(desmond2020 @ Apr 13 2023, 08:41 AM) so you are saying people driving more than 10 km to reach said MRT station? you know if they are driving 10 km distance, there are other MRT station which have multi level parking, like putrajaya sentral you can't expect multi level parking at all station plus cheapskate people gonna park at roadside anyway because they don't want to pay for parking There is another station at Cyberjaya Utara with open air parking but it is usually full by 8 in the morning. Putrajaya Sentral have multi level parking but it cost double as it mostly for ERL. I park there everyday and there are ample parking but it’s costly.
