KUALA LUMPUR: A new video of a Petaling Jaya City Council (MBPJ) enforcement officers involved in an exchange with members of the public during a stray dogs roundup has started making the rounds on social media.

In the latest video, an enforcement officer can be seen taunting a man who was filming the dog catching operation.

"It is the MBPJ's job to catch all these dogs. It's none of your business.

"Are those your dogs? If it is yours you tell us so," the enforcement officer can be heard saying while climbing over a railing and getting very close to the man.

Another enforcement officer was also heard telling the man to take a picture of him.

The video titled "Same MBPJ guy - this was 10th Feb." shared on a Facebook users account had been viewed 80,000 times

Last month, MBPJ incurred netizens' wrath after several videos and pictures of an elderly man allegedly being roughed up by its enforcement officers during a stray dog round-up operation started making the rounds.

The man, 69 year-old Patrick Khoo Kian Wui, was involved in the tussle but has since ended up being charged with obstructing a public servant from discharging his duty.

Khoo has since pleaded not guilty to the offence.

MBPJ in a statement today said its personnel who struck Khoo during the incident was not charged as the incident was unintentional.

The council said a dog-catching tool had accidentally struck the complainant during a struggle.

It added that an internal investigation into the matter had resulted in recommendations by the investigation committee to improve procedures on dog-catching operations.

The New Straits Times has reached out to the council for its response to the latest video but has yet to receive a reply.

Pity the enforcement officers.... they are doing their jobs and I also really hate all those wild dogs running around.

Any dog on leash and not inside a private property should be caught. period.

This. Stray dog protectors are really one kind of selfish bastards. If they love the stray dogs so much, just apply license to adopt them in keep them in their compound la.

Strays are often hungry, simply feed dog food treats, then they will follow up truck, no need to 3 workers surround to catch 1 dog at a time then the rest run away.

The unker take video only, didn't go block them or stop them.

It's a public area, that unker have all the right to take video of the operation as long as unker didn't get in the way of them catching the dogs.

It's the enforcers fault go probok the unker for just filming the dog catching. That is unwarranted behaviour as they can finish up their job without engaging with the unker.

He was right, the MBPJ dude. IT IS his job to catch the stray dogs. So if you are not the owner, you shouldn't stop him
