Hi, may I know if I able to get back PM that I accidentally deleted? I feel the delete button in PM should have a confirmation prompt to prevent users from accidentally delete their PMs...
Thanks.

When you delete PM, there will be a javascript pop up mentioning that the message will be deleted. The best bet is ask the sender to resend back the PM.

And the "Delete" button is just beside "Reply" button.

QUOTE(sHawTY @ Jan 19 2007, 12:14 AM) I've got a question to the mods / admins: What if i accidentally pressed the delete button in the message itself or accidentally ticked those pm's that i haven't read, and "tertekan" that delete button resulting deletion of those pm that i haven't read yet... What can i do to get it back? **this doesn't related to my question about why is there automatic deletion of pm, because the automatic deletion of pm's really happen QUOTE(wKkaY @ Jan 19 2007, 06:59 AM) Nothing. We perform daily database backups, but that's strictly for our own disaster recovery. Your best bet is to hit the browser's "back" button, or ask the sender to resend his message. I think it's too much effort at this point in time. Just be more careful next time and treat the delete button with respect. QUOTE(Shinichi) Yes I'm sure. There is a confirmation box shows up when I delete from PM list, but not when inside PM reading window. And the "Delete" button is just beside "Reply" button. The above 2 quotation answer your question unless wKkaY or the rest are free enough to do you a retrieval.

Hmm its okay actually... only blame myself click too fast and deleted the message. And the worst thing is that I only have 1 copy of the PM, as I've deleted all previous replies of the same PM Anyway, thanks for your help. I just hope admins here can add some confirmation to the "delete" button to prevent accidental deletion...

I'm not going to retrieve the deleted post for you, but for your future benefit a confirmation message has been added to the delete button in the PM reading screen
