My wife took a few home pregnancy tests these past few days, all of them came up positive, with the lines getting darker every time. What should I do next, do I just to go to any clinic to confirm?

I read online I should go to KK within the first trimester to open the buku pink in case we want to deliver in GH, but is it ok if we just go to a private clinic closer to our house for now since it’s still really early and to get any advice on supplements, what to avoid, etc? Right now she’s taking folic acid, vitamin D, and fish oil for EPA/DHA. Can’t really ask advice from friends and family for now since we’re not telling anyone just yet.

Congratulations! smile.gif

Your wife and baby need to undergo fix interval for checkup. Usually it’s 1 a month checkup until approaching delivery date, it ll be 2 weeks once.

You can do this checkup at KK or private hospital where your family plan to do delivery.

During the checkup doctor will prescribe vitamins for mum and baby. Usually it will be folic acid during initial stage and later optional add on with fish oil formulated specially for mum & baby.

first and foremost, CONGRATS!

can go to nearby clinic and do some checkup, then only proceed to KK.

but remember, once you got the 'pink book', PLEASE BE ALWAYS punctual on the checkup date/time given by nurse. never ever ponteng.

some people suka suka go apply the pink book but never go for checkup. please don't do that, very selfish act!

congratz!!!!
my kk bukit minyak (area bukit mertajam here) need a proof of baby heart beating 'scan before open a pink book.

since it's still early, need to check whether the zygote implantation is attach to the wall of the uterus, to prevent the fatal ectopic pregnancy.

i went for a ultrasound on early 5weeks old, but doctor told that the zygote is way too small but it was confirmed within the wall of uterus, then i was going back after another 2 weeks, which 7weeks and got the tiny heart beating . after that, straight go to the kk or call to make a appointment.

She can go to her regular gynae for private, or Klinik Kesihatan if you wish to deliver at public hospitals, or any private hospital that you wish for the delivery to happen.

Congratulations.

Avoid raw food like sashimi and etc. No alcohol no smoking.

If no plan to deliver in GH then can skip getting the pink book. After delivered still can get the pink book for free vaccinations.

My advise, go to register with a KK for the pink book . It is for in case of emergency case. The pink book is helpful for the following events :-

1) You are away from your usual location & you cannot make it back on time to deliver at the regular check up center.

2) In case the private medical center decline to accept your case last minute because of complications . This happened many times before, the private medical center is not as good as they are painted.

Plan where you want to deliver. If private, stick with private as monthly checkup is required to be determined the place of delivery

yup jus go clinic to confirm, then jaga jaga for the first trimester, easy miscarriage..

for KK , even if you dont wnt to deliver in GH, u should open an account there. in case for emergency cases. jus go KK few times, then tell them u will follow up at private.

avoid raw food, even those vege like salad!

For supplement, the most important is prenatal multivitamin, obimin or pramilet

U know where u wanna deliver liao? If yes, go to that hospital and choose the doc of your choice

If u wanna go gh for delivery then go KK get pink book
