Last time was semester break so I was looking for a job, found a job accepted salary offer RM1100.
But after working the boss say salary is "following law" 1100 divide (days of the month) times (my working day). I was working from mid of feb to mid of march.
Only got 959 at the end, anything I can do to get my promised amount? Saw from other posts people suggesting to go to some JPP office, I found the website but can't even register an account...

Thank y’all for replying… it was a short term full time job (8am-6pm daily mon to fri for one month), so only agreed the work details in WhatsApp. No epf no socso… does WhatsApp conversation counts as official offer/contract/letter?

Whatsapp should also be binding (if i'm not wrong), because its still a written reply. When you say "no EPF, no SOCSO" it means you've checked your EPF account and no deduction/ contribution? Or its no because it wasn't mentioned by the boss...?
Yeah it doesn't seem to make sense that they underpay by only RM150 on purpose. But regardless, when in doubt its always good to check.

Just finished my finals paper... And yes, there's no contribution to my EPF at all, it indeed makes no sense to underpay RM150 on purpose FOR ONE PEOPLE but he hired 5-6 short term full timers during my time there, all received 150 less. I've been asking around all the new and previous temporary employees there, all the same, no offer letter, most of them also students doing full time 1 to 2 months so they all think it's just a small amount not worth the trouble to go the legal route, but for the boss he got so much extra pocket money from cutting our promised pay. For each month with 6 workers, one year already save 10800.

You can report this to the company's PIC and HR, let them know all of you realized this issue. Inform the company to rectify and reimburse, then see what's their response. If no response, follow up with another email. By the time still no response on the 3rd email - i think you can compile all these evidence and file a complaint.

Basically you burnt the bridge when you or any of the others make such complaint. Then again, its a legit case and I wouldn't want to work for an unethical company like that #justsaying

Alright thanks for the advise, I'll contact the others and discuss.

I'm not a labor law expert

You worked from mid-Feb to mid-March. Approximately a month only.

They did calculate correctly

(Total working days) divide with (days of the month)

The thing is the boss promised us 1100 for the mid-Feb to mid-March, but only until April (after our job) our salary banked in he say calculate using the calculation. We're just doing gigs, why use full time calculation for termination? We don't even receive epf nor allowances, does that mean I can leak all his client information?? cause no black & white signed to confirm the salary nor nda signed anyways
