I moved when I wrongly see the green light meant for other lane

Then I got stopped by police, gave saman as tiada berhenti semasa lampu isyarat merah.

I requested the police to change as henti at lampu isyarat merah but moved when I saw wrongly green light for other lane. The police refused and wrote ETT as my signature

I didn't sign, I didn't have dash cam.

So how? Just bayar the saman or how?

Buat rayuan, will get cheaper saman. Don't wait.

Eg speeding if pay early is RM150
Pay 1 year later RM300. You need to target 50% above discount then is cheaper

when court date set, bring money + ic + that summon,
when arrived at court on that day, register yourself, give ic to the court clerk and go to court when your name called. In front of judged dont forget to nego. then after that pay your new nego value summon and take your ic. done. well, incase you want to go to court , just fyi

is either you are young/naive or havent get a summon and have to take leave to attend court before.. Also, the summon was given by police is in desperation i.e. they will simply give excuse and use undang-undang to say you are wrong.

This kind of reasoning or argument should not even arise at the first place. If there was car / trailer coming opposite , you are dead due to the “wrongly saw green light”.

It was very lousy attempt to justify the traffic offense.

Had you apologies & admit fault , you stand a better chance to get away.

Rather you should present your case and make a plea.

Running red light is a category 2 offense, no matter how you justify it, its still wrong. Malaysia have 4 driving offenses category and Cat 2 is definitely serious. It doesn't matter you "see it" or not.

You can get 50% discount if paid early and you can try your luck with the judge, but I'll say just pay the damn fine early and considered it a lesson learned.

Yes I do. Road/traffic safety isn't something to be stupid about. People get hurt everyday because too many idiots are allowed to drive on the road. Look at how TS started this post, there are even some who think it is right, police too harsh, need compassion etc. Drivers now don't realise when they make mistakes.

There's a same type of road at Bandar Tun Hussein Onn that sees this problem every single day. I dunno if those idiots didn't notice or are distracted or just ignorant. Sometimes when I wait in a queue, I can even see them watching tiktok.
