Neighbour had a GLC 300, X3 lastly a RX300. His conclusion - he’ll take the Lexus anytime over the other 2.

Ya la, Lexus definitely tops the reliability chart...but it's a boring car..dont wan la.

QUOTE(mois @ Apr 6 2023, 06:52 AM)
Buy the BMW first to show off 5-7 years. After you experiece conti and if you dislike them, Lexus will always be there waiting.

Im C class W205 owner. Back then also want to experience conti. But next car I want to try definitely Lexus. The thing with Lexus is, once buy it hardly breakdown like toyota. Recond Rx300 currently is 300k+. But new model launching soon.
*
How's ur C class? How many years have you owned the car? Any big repairs? I test drived the new NX la..feels a bit cramped but it looks very beautiful unlike the old Lexus.

QUOTE(coolcity888 @ Apr 6 2023, 07:27 AM)
GLC tin kosong except for the logo... BMW is boring and too ah Beng to my liking... Volvo is loaded with many gadgets and is fun to drive.

Many says lexus... But seriously, it is more expensive than the above 3 brands. Can only get a recond unit for the same price. And lexus is very ugly la....

15-20k a year is safer, coz everytime got some issue, cheap cheap is around 2k, if medium one around 4k, big one hope don't kena la πŸ˜‚

Let say one year masuk 4 times, one time around 3-4k, then around 15k to maintain per year. I am driving my 9 year old f10, so far treating me well πŸ™πŸ™πŸ˜‰
*
Ya lo, that's what I can prepare yearly la..that's why asking /k here see any owner knows if 10-15k per year enough to maintain or not ma. How's ur F10? Any big repair cost?

QUOTE(skyblu3 @ Apr 6 2023, 08:17 AM)
The new RX is nice, but not in Malaysia yet.

My opposite house neigh changed his BMW X5 , 3rd gen to this 2019 facelift RX.
So far didn't see any tow trucks coming to his house after driving this rx.Β  Before this....?Β  Lol.

Actually my main concern is the repairing cost and reliability la. Of course you will think TS sohai, if wan reliability go for Toyota or Lexus la..but like it's kinda of my dream to own a conti car. I can afford to prepare 10-15k yearly for the repairing la..but don't know enough or not. I feel banyak sien if always kena masuk kilang fix this and that.

If mentally and financially prepare, should be ok la biggrin.gif

What's important is to join a support chat group where many experienced sifus are there. If got any car problem, can ask question inside. Also can get some recommended workshop to maintain your car so that you won't kena ketuk hard hard by some greedy workshop.
