Everyone talking about 1% cashback on the card... worth meh? Seems like very low return compared to CC.

For the informed consumer who pays their CC bills in full and by statement date, CC gives even more benefit (delayed payment means earned interest). And 1% is literally the cashback of my 'backup' CC which is only used when all the more worthwhile CCs are maxed in terms of cashback for the month. Don't see why anyone very excited by a deal which... is even less than most ewallets had when they were launching.

If someone have your number... they already have your name, because that's like the most basic data leak in Malaysia.

And this isn't the US, when they search your number in DuitNow the worst thing they can do is.... send you money.

The repeated data leaks (telco and gov related) over the years means unless you regularly change phone number, your phone number, email address, name, and IC number should be considered 'publicly available' information for those with the motivation to find them out. So your 'anonymity' is only for random people without intention/motivation.

My account got quite a bit of in and out, so I use a script to calculate MAB. Script output the value, I multiply with 0.04 and 29/366, got within 4 cents of actually deposited amount. So close enough for me.

Not daily compounded though, that makes a difference.

Limit is about online transaction, not to prevent bank run (real bank run will have people standing at counter). Is just to limit losses in event of scam, meaning also limit liability of bank.

So the two alternatives are KDI and Versa I guess?
