Thanks.

=IF(D19>=5000, (D19-5000)*4%/365*DAYS(A20,A19)+5000*5%/365*DAYS(A20,A19),D19*5%/365*DAYS(A20,A19))
My Excel formula. Can you spot any mistake? My calculation off a bit. QUOTE(Optizorb @ Jan 1 2024, 09:42 AM) take your end of day balance amount. then: a) 5000 (and under) x 5% /365 = how much you will get. round up to two decimal places. b) whatever above 5k x 4% / 365 = how much you will get. round up to two decimal places. a + b = c, your total amount for that 1 day. repeat the above if you made any transactions in your account for whatever day. if didnt make any transactions then c x 30/31 days = total monthly amount EDIT: anyway starting today, its flat 4%. so: end of day balance x 4% /365 = how much you will get. round up to two decimal places |

Dear friends,
I did my own calculations on Jan interest and the calculated amount and amount credited differs significantly. Can experts here who could get the interest calculation right previously double check the new interest for Jan and verify this. Thanks. |
