chances are, by the time there is a bank run on your bank, it is already too late for you to try to withdraw anything substantial out. Can just google for news of what happened to those banks like svb or frb.

If your concern is up to 2 million ringgit liquid cash, I suggest you deploy 250K each to Maybank, CIMB, Public, HL and RHB. Put under your single name and joint (they count separately), and put in the conventional and islamic (they count separately also).

If you have many millions, like 10 to 50 million liquid cash, then you should employ a proper financial advisor to share with you how to manage the risk properly.


Don't ever be enticed by small or unknown banks in Malaysia and put FDs in, hoping for that extra 50 bps rate. It is really not worth the risk at times.

Those actually have the millions already have plan in place...

And it's won't be just in Malaysia portfolio only, but all over the place with multiple assets class

anyone contacted rize support recently via email? They used to respond to me quite fast - now more than 1 week no reply. previously 2 weeks ago they replied me in 1-2 days. My debit card cant transact at all for any online purchases. DuitNOW transfer works fine tho

Card blocked 🤦‍♀️ call them straight away as they should be able to respond it to faster as they are getting swamped by email due to profit distribution issue
