Unlikely to go higher already πŸ€¦β€β™€οΈ unless they still got cash to burn
Rize is not digital bank in the 1st place πŸ€¦β€β™€οΈ it is only piggybacking on Al Rajhi banking license πŸ€¦β€β™€οΈ hence the word powered by
They got big cable inside πŸ€¦β€β™€οΈ also you need to update as Moneylion already exited while GX Bank doesn’t have Singtel involvement because of BNM licensing rules πŸ€¦β€β™€οΈ

I didn't say go higher than current rates, but go higher than GX, which is 3.5% currently. 3.5% or slightly higher is fair possibility for Rize after 31 December..

Yup, cannot select transferee bank.

There was a message on system maintenance from 12.30am to 8.30am tomorrow, when transactions would not be available. They started early? hmm.gif

I thought GX only 3%?
*
I'm not a customer yet. Just quoting what other people here said earlier. Now looking at the website, yeah, it's only 3% daily compounding rate for savings account. Not so exciting after all.

Apologies icon_rolleyes.gif

if u park your money for short time and wait for best fd rate, this is consider great place. It is ++ for daily interest rate.
name 1 bank which give u daily interest
*
Rize? no daily interest but higher rate overall. For now.

KDI save is not a bank but has higher rates than GX. Acceptable if can live with fund withdrawal within same day.

As calculated by someone a day or 2 ago, daily interest @ 3% compounded daily is only 3.04xxx %. Daily interest doesn't give much more.

If you want excitement go ahead put your money in crypto instead

Hahaha. not exciting in that sense. Just that we got used to 4/5% with Rize. laugh.gif

It is close to 3.05% after 1 year include daily compound
If you want exciting πŸ€¦β€β™€οΈ go blame BNM for not raising rates or you can put your money in exciting TΓΌrkiye or Argentina where interest rates are double digits percentage πŸ€¦β€β™€οΈ
*
Please don't talk out of context la bro just because I used the word "exciting" laugh.gif . I just said we are used to getting 4/5% for a long time, and these rates are good. Why talk about blaming BNM not raising rates? I certainly don't want BNM to raise rates unreasonably as I have a loan to service. And yes, one can earn high rates in Turkey and Argentina, but we all know it comes with a huge risk. Definitely not for me.

Okay rate but their name already damage to maximum

How to trust anymore??? Especially after the countless issues faced previously
*
I would say it is better than expected, given that FD rates have been coming off past few months. thumbsup.gif

System failures, too many comments already, hopefully their recent maintenance jobs make it work better.

There is a clause:
Upon expiry of the Campaign Period, Eligible Customers will no longer enjoy the
Special Profit Rate and Eligible Customer(s) CMSA will revert to the prevailing board
rates applicable to CMSA.

It means that after Mar 31, 2024, the rate for Rize will surely be reduced from 4% to perhaps 2.5% or lower.
*
Yes, it means that. As it did before, barring another revision in the campaign rates. tongue.gif

No need worry so far ahead. Rize is not a fixed deposit.

Thanks to people like you

Those counter staff still have work 😁

If everyone goes cashless... Banks don't need many more staff... Just 3 to 5 for each branch sufficient enough πŸ‘
*
However, it's not the customers that determine whether there is counter service or not. It's the banks doing away with it as much as technology will allow them to. Counter service will probably be discontinued when it all becomes fully cashless and digitalized. laugh.gif

EAR is 4% for 100k (if u do 2 activities per month, easy to hit).
If u dont do 2 activities, then u will not get 4%. This promo already running before rize come out
So far UOB is much more stable
*

[/quote

UOB one account works best if used just like a RM100k FD. Otherwise, if used as a transactional account and if the balance drops below or goes above 100k on any day, the effective overall rate will be lower than 4%.

Whereas Rize will pay 4% (wef 1.1.24) regardless of your balance.

I would say Rize is more flexible, if one can live with lower daily transfer limits (since no counter transactions), and can accept their much-maligned systems and CS quality.

Tried to do a Duitnow transfer of 12k to a new payee at another bank today. Failed twice. 10min later Rize CS called, informing that it had breached their parameter, so she called to verify before I could do it again successfully.

She said it's not because it's a new payee.

Not sure what the limit is for transfer to go through immediately hmm.gif

Some says it's 5k, another says it's 10k

U normally transfer how much?? Sure less 12k
They monitor your transaction history.... More than the usual... Block first... Call & verify first. Then only smooth later πŸ™

QUOTE(cybpsych @ Jan 4 2024, 10:23 AM)
could be per individual scoring that determine the threshold alert

i did 3xRM5k + 1xRM1k withdrawals yesterday. all smooth like butter. no block, no call from rize sweat.gif
p/s: disclosure, i was blocked (1st time) back in Nov for rm50k withdrawal (one-shot)  laugh.gif
*
We have all experienced the weaknesses of Rize systems. Wonder if they would have spent additional cost to move on to the next level of data analytics to include personal scoring? hmm.gif

I also had similar experience. In the beginning, multiple 5k transfers were blocked after the third transfer. 50k transfer was blocked once.

After a few such blocks, neither mode were blocked. Until today. I usually transfer to saved favorites, but today it was to a new beneficiary. CS says not because it's a new beneficiary, so could be it's because it's above 5k or 10k, or it's not a saved favorite? confused.gif
