Hong Kong couple Kenneth Ma, 49, and Roxanne Tong, 35, may not be married yet — their wedding is likely to be in the second half of the year — but we already know who's gonna be the boss at home.

Financially, at least.

According to Hong Kong media, Kenneth had asked his Big White Duel 2 co-star Moses Chan, who's often been called the epitome of a family man, for tips on how to raise a family prudently.

Kenneth revealed that Moses told him to let Roxanne be in charge of the family's finances.

"To a certain extent that should be a given, the man should make the money. A family's expenses are indeed very large, so I'll let her take care [of the finances]," said Kenneth.

He went on to share that if they have kids in the future, they will open a joint-account to use for their daily expenses as well as to fund the education of their children.

In case you're wondering, Kenneth is not at all worried about letting Roxanne handle his money.

"She is quite blur, but she's just clumsy when she walks. She won't get scammed, so I don't have to worry," he said.

He then revealed that he will receive a monthly allowance from Roxanne after they get married.

"Moses also only gets an allowance [from his wife Aimee Chan] every month," added Kenneth. "I think most Hong Kong men are like that because you have to spend a lot to take care of a family. So the men just have to work hard to earn money," explained Kenneth.

Girls, time to find yourself a Hong Kong husband?

Actually a vagina doesn't give you superpowers when it comes to managing money.

The partner with better money skills should handle the money. Doesn't matter if it is the husband or the wife.

Generally, kong luis are better in managing money. It is proven by so many of HK artists where they just leave everything to their wife to manage. They are usually too busy doing work, so it is better to let the person who is more free handle things.

Nope. Try not to generalize. When you are in a long term relationship, you have to honestly assess the strengths and weaknesses of both partners. Not every girl is good with money. Not every man is a spendthrift.

There are as many luxury items that cater for the female demographic as compared to the guys.

If it comes to straying, well, unless the spouse is gay, the third party is usually the opposite sex.

Some girls have this funny idea, "If he loves me, he should give me all his money. It gives me a sense of security." Well, once you are old enough, it is easy to see how stupid an idea that is.

If the spouse is not good with money but still demands this "sense of security", put the family house and the cars in his/her name. Make it a big ticket item which is difficult to liquidate. Still possible to screw it up but more steps to go through. Hopefully you will be able to catch it in time.

That is why I say kong luis are normally good in finance.

If they know how to convince their man to put everything also got their name, then they are normally money minded and clever enough when handling financial matters.

Let me give a simple example.

Mr A is a financial planner. He knows how to handle his money. Unless his wife is also a financial planner who is better than he is, why should he pass over control of the money to her?

Or the other way around. If Mrs A is a financial planner. Other people pay her to handle their money. Why would Mr A complain if she takes care of the household finances?

My point is, it is not gender specific. Sit down with your partner and work it out. Lead with your strengths. It is important to work as a team. Money rhyming with pussy and honey is just a very unfortunate coincidence biggrin.gif

I am talking about kong luis in general. You know what kong luis mean or not.

You talk about financial planner for what. Sometimes if you look at the home of cooks, they are not the cook at home, why?

Leave your finances to someone who can handle finances better so that your finance is secure in the future.

It is generally what most HK male stars do and also what HK guys do after they get married.

I read somewhere that Hacken Lee don't even know how many properties he owned as all the buying and selling is handled by his wife.
