In the last few days, ktards were gleeful that there was apparently a difference in diplomatic protocol when Singapore PM LHL and Malaysia PM DSAI arrived at Beijing Airport within hours of each other. biggrin.gif Rumours swirled over why Lee was ushered onto a bus while Anwar was shown to a state car at the airport.

The truth is out now! biggrin.gif

Anwar travelled by private plane, a Malaysian Royal Air Force Airbus A319 used for Malaysian diplomats from Hainan to Beijing, and landed at a location where he was met by China's Vice Foreign Minister, Sun Weidong, and ushered into a state car.

Hours later in the evening, Lee travelled by Hainan Airlines (a domestic airline in China) from Hainan to Beijing, and landed in a different location (FOR DOMESTIC AIRLINES) at the airport where he was also met by China's Vice Foreign Minister, Sun Weidong, and boarded a red-carpet lined bus to the VIP lounge, before transferring to a state car. The article noted a red carpet welcome was already accorded to Singapore's Lee days ago in Guangzhou, his first stop in China.

Videos and articles all here:

Malaysian diplomats travel by private plane. I wonder how much does the flight/logistics cost? I thought we are in serious debt??
Singaporean diplomats travel via China's domestic airline. I wonder how much the domestic airfare costs?

Which country spent more money? Who is...dare I say, financially prudent? sweat.gif

A private plane is required because KLIA is not very well connected to outside world

Hahaha..you didn't read the news??They are not only a wealthy but also smart country.

1. SG asserts its position as an independent country. (their Foreign Minister didn't call China "da ge'')
2. SG's working language is English, and this is used in all formal occasions.
3. SG used translators (hahahaha) during the meeting despite most SG officials understanding Chinese, so as to have the lead time to think before answering questions.

Hahaha tongue.gif

I felt genuinely sad reading that because both of us know the truth.

Even DSAI stated in Feb 2023 our debt is now at RM1.5 trillion ringgit...... cry.gif

Proves that Anwar Malaysia don't know Chinese mindset. China mindset is about helping the people on the ground as well. Singapore by using Hainan airlines proves that it is an ally to China.

Worked in china and presented to Chinese customers before. Speaking our rojak Chinese to the real mainland Chinese is like speaking singlish or manglish to posh English
