I have an event that is coming up and ordering food for it. However, the caterer can't deliver since its a small order and asked that I use Grab to delivery it to me.

I have not done this before and its kind of last minute for me to find any other place to do it.

So a few questions:

1) I have to select Grab Express, right? I did explore the app and asked the caterer as well. Will be selecting a car.

2) Are there any precautions I should take since its food items? The caterer say they will pack it in microwable containers and pack it well.

3) Would it be wise to make the Grab booking in advance? The event is on Sunday afternoon; so should I do the booking today?

4) Are there anything else I should know or look out for?

To answer in advance, no I can't switch to someone else since its a specific food type and also due to time constraint; No, the caterer has said they can't do the grab delivery for us; I am not sure if I will be able to go and make the pick up myself, hence why looking at using Grab to make the delivery.

Any feedback is much appreicated.

I use GrabExpress & Lalamove all the time.

1. Select GrabExpress and the type of transport you need. Fill up sender and receipient details. The app will default you as sender so make sure toggle it if otherwise.

2. Make sure well packed. Is it a lot of stuffs?

I am receiving the food. Its for 30 pax. The caterer said they will pack it accordingly and asked to inform them in advance if I will be using Grab.

Its Indian food, so there will be gravy and stuff. Well packed as it using tight containers and taping them down, would that suffice?

Do you think it would be a good idea if I make the booking for the Grab today for delivery on Sunday? Lock down someone to make the pick up?

Just did the booking. I just wanted ask one last thing.

The driver will only be assinged 5 minutes before the pick time is it? I read it either in the app or website FAQ, not sure. I assumed that if we booking eariler they would asign someone earlier.

So there is a possibilty of not getting any driver on that day?

Thanks again for your insights.
