I did stay in halls too. So many activities, no? Esp during orientation. Barbies and beer, toga parties.
And all the MY, SG, HK student unions will organize activities like Asian Night at clubs, trips like skiing at Blue Mtns, Ayers Rock.
Plus my friends liked to frequent the casino which wasn't such a good idea now that I'm wiser but at the time YOLO.
We went to strip clubs, movies, and one of my Indonesian friends was addicted to brothels and kept pestering me to go but I didn't.
Anyway, I was never homesick and TS's sister is pretty good if all she's doing is staying up late playing games I think.
The hostel I stayed is called the Women's College in Sydney University.
I don't think there was a casino or any strip clubs at my time?? I was there from 1991-1994. But yes I did go to the Asian night dinners, watched a few movies and also went skiing at Blue Mountain or maybe the location was in Canberra. Not sure anymore. I didn't manage to go to Ayers Rock though.
TS's sister is staying with her family members during her uni days. And so is definitely leading a very different life from overseas students. Even though she is just staying up late and playing online games, I feel her lack of motivation and discipline is indeed worrying and will be the stumbling block for her graduation.
