Younger sister resign and cannot find another job

Why 00 generation like that?

She resign marketing executive job at april 2024.
She never did any video animation in April and May.

She want to be a animator.

But I think content creator and video editor is better for her.

My younger sister is lazy and lacks motivation to engage in any productive activities.

She sleeps at 3am every day and wakes up at 2pm.

She lives on the second floor in the bedroom.

Should we request that she live on the ground floor instead?

She has no hobbies and has been at home doing almost nothing for the past 2 years.

She is repeating a final year project subject in her degree.(March 2023)

She has completed all her subjects and only has to finish her final year project to graduate.

Fortunately, her university lecturer helped her. I even asked her to check her university email. However, she kept ignoring her lecturer's inquiries and didn't want to reply.

July 2023,The subject result is out.She passed.

I also suggested she join me for a jog at Hutan Bandar at 6 am, but she refused.

Normally, I wake up at 5:20 am or 5:30 am, and head straight to Hutan Bandar, arriving around 5:50 am.

Since Hutan Bandar opens at 6 am, few people arrive that early, and there are plenty of parking spaces available.

She joined a company in October 2023 but resigned in April 2024. She only worked for 6 months and is now jobless.

Now she has a formal university certificate.

She sleeps at home around 1 am or 3 am and usually wakes up around 11 am.

Sometimes she skips breakfast because she wakes up too late.

After eating lunch or dinner, she goes back to her room to play on her phone, including TikTok, Xiao Hong Shu, Bilibili, and Facebook, as well as online games. She sleeps at 2 am.

My mother never asks her to help cut vegetables or cook, even though I've already told my mother many times.

On the other hand, focusing on and limiting the use of mobile phones and other electronic devices is an effective way to address the issue at its root.

One possible approach is to create a physical space free from social media,

******** such as keeping all electronic devices out of the bedroom. *************

This can help eliminate the phenomenon of staying up late and doomscrolling, effectively mitigating the negative impacts of excessive use of electronic devices.

How can someone bring about change in their life?

sleeping at 3am doesn't seem like she's that lazy.
she just doensn't wanna do things she don't wanna do.

bring change is never easy. finding motivation or target as well.

if she has friends .. maybe that'll help. if she's a neet .. tough luck.

one way is to force her to join you and your parents out for a trip and other things.
in order for her to experience things a bit.
forcing her to go jog .. unless your parents come along ... tough luck, much less request coming from you as an elder sibling.

Ask her what she's doing until 3am first. You don't seem to know what she's actually doing even if you say "almost nothing". Remember, your own definition of "productive activity" might not be the same as hers.
