- hobby started in 2017 with 3 friends
- learnt and use machine learning to trade in Palm Oil Futures
- did not succeed but learnt a lot
- pivot to Currency trading and Crypto trading last year using statistics and Machine learning
- finally worked, so it was a 6 years journey to get to this point.


pros of this side hustle

- fulfil my intellectual curiousity and what i learnt can somewhat apply to my day job (systems and data science)
- side income for the profit made in trades ( can go up to about 2 k usd in some months )
- there are trade commissions to be made (can be about 50 usd per referee per mth ) if somebody sign up to a broker you recommend


cons of this side hustle
- can be stressful if trade goes against you in a bad month
- need to explain to traders who follow your trades during a bad month
- nobody knows what you are talking about sometimes ( too complex )
- very few people believe it



to be somewhat successful [B]

- hyper focus ( interestingly, i have ADHD , but i can hyperfocus on things that interest me )
- grit (willing to sacrifice and take pain upfront and tolerate the pain )
- curiosity
- aim to be the best in whatever you do
- intend to help
