I've recently graduated from high school and I am keen on becoming a doctor in the future. I understand the trials and tribulations that comes with this great ambition. Trust me, I've done my research.
Currently, I've found myself a job as a clinic assistant for some work experience. Though it is for some invaluable resume material, the employer has given me a salary of 1.3k per month, and I would have to commit 7 hours a day, 6 days a week.
Is it really worth it to take on this job? Accepting this offer, it would mean that my free time would perish, as I am almost working a full-time hour with a wage lower than a part-timer.
Does the experience really matter when it comes to medical school applications? Am I better off just doing volunteering activities?
Any input is welcomed! Thanks for the help!
