just tell me your:
  1. Case: Brand & Model <-- HDD Bay position
  2. Case Fan: Size, Brand, Model & how many units u are using it <-- the X Factor
  3. PSU: Brand & Model <-- Useless, most PSU nowdays are quite already, but still....
  4. CPU: Brand & Model <-- haha, hope not Pentium D woo
  5. CPU Cooler: Brand & Model <-- if stock cooler used on Pentium D, for sure one, the cooler is screaming for a better cooler

Check your graphic card. some cards now got very bad heat sucking fan that make it sound like that. Try google your graphic card with the word "noisy".

i mean case fan = fan that u attach to the case - intake fan, exhaust fan & side panel fan...

if u multi-task or open many program then only the noise become louder --> for sure the proc, happens to me a lot when gaming --> the proc cooler & vga cooller will ram up cry.gif

one of the reason possibly is ur system is too dusty and ur fan has lots of dust stick between the blade and motor ..

dust would kills the engine motor by making it spin harder which indirectly lead to noise ..

so get all ur component inside cleaned including the PSU fan if possible ..

it should reduces noise level a bit but the ultimate solution is a silent third party cooler, case fan and psu ..

All this comes with a bit of price so u got to prepared the budget for it ..

else got to live on with it ....

my computer is 3 months old and I vacuum it using the mini vacuum cleaner every weekend.. dust shouldn't be the problem.. I am using all Vizo fan (3*8cm and 2*12cm..), it shouldn't be a problem also.. but still the thing still make sound.. and now i suspect it's the gpu..

if its a high pitch sound, it should be coming from a power choke either on the MB or the GC

i think its the PSU actually.
its normal for those with a 80 plus structure just like the Silverstones smile.gif
most unliely its the fans cause those make a very deep whinning sound
