I wonder how TS knows the OTR price even before the cars are launched in Malaysia.

I would assume the price will be significantly higher.

Agreed. 10k-20k at least maybe. If more than that It could be too much.

CX5 17 inch rim is a blessing for me. Cx5 suspension is quite stiff already. The 17 rim helps alot in toning down the stiffness and increase comfort. Sat my friend's 2.5 with 19 rim. The ride is quite harsh on rough roads. Although handling is nice but the ride is not as refined as I thought, at times i quite hate it because it feels like a cheap car.

yes 17inches has the advantage of of this.
When i am sitting in CRV, i feels like a cheap car as well (at least cheaper than CX5)

CX-5 already in the last leg of the cycle model change and wont be any newer facelift, as they are moving into 50 series.
If want to buy CX-5, now is the best time as moving into 50 series the chassis will undergo cost down especially the rear suspension.
Mazda until today still losing a lot of money in their financial report, more & more cost down method are done under the skin/not visible area and in return use of electronic control method (GVC+ or latest technology KPC) to control the car driving behavior. Easy said, newer ride will be control/monitor by electronics more.

very sad to know this.
Yup CX-5 will be the last cycle model as for now. It could be no more CX-5 in the future.
But Why bermaz malaysia not bringing in the facelift 2021 into malaysia, even indonesia got the facelift last month.

any idea why you refrained on the Tiguan... I take DASH daily to office early morning so with my bimmer i could do racing line and the only two other cars that usually have a friendly competition with me consist of a Tiguan and a Volvo. The Tiguan surprisingly could really catch up but i dont know if the driver inside is going "oh no oh no oh no" but the car seems planted

Actually I love VW, my sis having a POLO 1.2Tsi 2013 CBU and still doing damn good nowadays(spent 2-3k for repairing each year thumbsup.gif)
But the sound proofing, absorber, chassis all still doing great like a damn solid car.

I refrained from the Tiguan is because of
-7seaters only, i would prefer 5 seaters
-CKD icon_idea.gif my friend's passat having some(maybe more than some) small problem or weird sound. The quality is not as good as CBU
-second price issue, because I am aiming for New Car.
-Lastly and the main reason, the look, i cannot accept lol.gif UGLY

I'd opt for CR-V.

CX-5 2.0 is underpowered af. Also, if you want something that handles well, get a sedan. Any C-segment sedan will handle better than the CX-5.

If not rushing for a car, just wait for the new Honda CRV replacing the current gen
