Qlassic is a way of measuring the quality of workmanship of the constructed property. It requires that a site inspection be made once a project is completed and ready for vacant possession. Note that undercon projects cannot have a Qlassic score ya, so if agent tries to tell you a new project has a good Qlassic score, they're selling tahi lembu.

Developers that boast about many of their past projects having high Qlassic score usually means that their workmanship is sound and reliable.

In practice, a developer having a record of high Qlassic score projects in the past usually means the developer is moderately reliable. If you decide to buy a new under construction/pending construction project from that same developer, you have some assurance that they'd deliver a well built project with no major defects.

It does NOT mean that the project is automatically a good buy, it just means that the developer is consistent in delivering good workmanship.

So if score is given after completion, does not mean cannot have substandard construction for the foundation of the building?

High Qlassic score doesn't prevent substandard, it only minimises it because got multiple criteria that goes into score.

If worried about defects that might appear because of poor foundations, you really cannot know until years later, and then it might be due to other factors like soil movement/flooding/nearby construction.

Only take Qlassic scoring as a guide, not as the deciding factor of a property purchase. Age of building, maintenance, surrounding geography also must consider if you're concerned about defects, proper site visit and scouting of surrounding area is still best assessment.

Again, reminder that only completed buildings can get Qlassic score, don't even consider about it if it comes to pending construction or under construction property. Just because developer has past history of higher Qlassic score doesn't mean the new property can get good Qlassic score.
