From what I learned, there are few tier

1. Petronas spec. Most expensive
2. Sirim approved like mega
3. Non sirim
4. Bangla grade
5. Junk grade

So depend on what you are getting.
If expect non sirim, you may want to upsize the cable

lazy contractor, last time my contractor pulled 4x6mm, 1 for each socket
and he specifically reminded us not to use extension or 3-way plug for kitchen appliances

so far I using each for oven, microwave, induction hob, and fridge

edit: using 2 separate fuse, my home get 3-phase power
I specifically asked them to make it safe and future proof

For me, it does not matter if you use 3-way or even 10-way extension on one socket. What matter most is that you do not change the MCB to higher rating over the wire in the wall ampere rating. The wire will melt and cause short circuit. The MCB will take care if the load current is above limit. You do not want damage cable in wall. smile.gif

The fire at the socket or extension is caused by socket degradation over time which caused poor contact between plug and socket receptacle. When high current is drawn by load(s) over long period, the heat generated will melt non SIRIM plastic socket and cause fire.
