Problem no 1. Glazers. Season end pun tak mau sell. Main main. Maybe season start baru sell. There goes our season.

Problem 2. Maguire. Eth resolving. Good.

Problem 3. Ddg. I praise him but macam Rooney, he need to make way already. Not goona win us any cup with him.

Problem 4. Established striker. Someone to replace martial. I dun mind greenwood at all.

Problem 5. Eth. While I agree he is not that great as advertised or proven great, this is the lowest priority to address. Every manager here inherit broken low morale squad. So there is no excuse for poor performance. Except Moyes inherit a champion team

I'm amazed that we are having a conversation about replacing the manager potentially. ETH brought us to a CL position finish of 3rd place, 2 domestic Cup finals and 1 Cup won. At the start of the season, this would have been a near unanimous A grade from most. And still is for me.

In terms of problems we have, I won't go through the more obvious ones like the Glazers and which players to buy.

One of our biggest problems is the broken wage structure at the club. A remnant of Ole's time. Maguire is on 180k. Sancho is on 350k. And to put that in perspective, Gundogan at City with it's bag of riches is on 150k.

Any defender coming in is gonna look at Maguire on his wages and think they deserve more than him. Same with Sancho. The wage structure is going to take a few seasons to fix in order to renumerate performance rather than a fat retirement payday it currently is.

Glazers still in charge.

No proven strikers available.

Not enough quality bench quantity.

Inexperienced DOF.

Manage to get 3rd place and UCL spot next season, win Carabao Cup.

No more "captain guaranteed to play policy".

And some here claimed that ETH is a fraud and failure?

The first 3 points is enough to crumble to whole team, but instead we survive and striving.

Pep, Klopp and Arteta also need a few season to have his team dominating.

And yet suddenly ETH is expected to do everything during his first season.

SMH.

Southampton rated Lavia at 40 to 50M, City has a buy back clause of 40M

Chelsea want 70M for MM, nothing more nothing less

in a perfect world, maybe we can work out a deal like we also rate Maguire for 80m and get them to pay us 10m and top up with Mason Mount... innocent.gif icon_idea.gif

for GK , u can made 10 world class saves but ppl will only remember the comical error that result in goals.

The same goes for defenders, and strikers. Their mistakes will be remembered. - After a while a form appears and after longer while class appears. I know, DDG is not world class. You won't pick him in top 10 GK world wide and yet we need top 5.

But we need to focus on how to get a top GK, and perhaps its not wrong to give him stiff competition. He was in the top 5 GK at some point in his career and he is not old enough to be over the hill.

What we need is another 20-30 goals in the team. And that is only achievable if we have great forward play and a top poacher that does not miss or gets injured so damn often. The opposite of Wout Weghorst, if you must.

I assure you. if we score 20-30 goals more we will firstly forget DDG's howlers, he will be under far less pressure to deliver 1-0's, and we can all move up the table happily.

Its a big problem, its not easy to solve, it is very expensive. But it has to be prioritized. There is no way you can challenge in EPL with a heavy focus on tight defence - Van Gaal tried, Mou tried, we failed. All EPL's have been won with the top scoring teams either top 1 or top 2. It has almost never been won by the top defending team with least conceded or most clean sheets.

We need to chuck away Martial, Weghorst and anyone pretending to call themselves the strikers of MUFC. We are pure suck when come to attack. We also need to sack the people whose job it is to purely devise our attack - doing poorly again.

Of course I know its not so simplistic, that a single Haaland come will settle our problems. There is build up play, pressing, counter, bla bla bla. But DDG is the literally the last person you go to blame on the lack of goals. Suppose even if we have the best GK in the world suddenly today, I think at most we have 6-8 points more in the league. If we have the best attack in the league - come on, i don't need to sell you this plan.

true..our scoring prowess is pretty terrible.
we need to reach at least 80-90 leagues goals per season to really challenge for the title. that may not even be enuff considering how strong City is.

But but, my thoughts are the only one correct.

That bald fraud has to be blame since SAF retiring for not getting this team to play at his best.

What has he done since SAF retired, you tell me?

we need top striker and midfield/winger to provide goals but de gea also not the last person to blame for lack of goals. GK can play role in ball distribution. nothing surprised these day GK kick turn to dangerous attack and creating opportunity. just recently thts what happen in the final city 1st goal while de gea kick fail reaching our player 12 times in tht games. dont need best GK but need someone to challenge the spot. for de gea just let CB kick the ball forward.. pretty sure lindelof can do much better

Who else?
Kane - levy don’t want let go

Or we get some average joe?
Watkins?

Or some oldies again?

Or flamboyant superstar?

Or go back to Ajax and look for their current striker again?

If Arsenal can get Jesus then there must be a gem somewhere. We are not paid to do MUFC scout's work. Why should we be suggesting who and who? RvP, RvN, Cole, Ole all came without fans baying for their signatures. The scouting system should be producing the goods. In your list, TBH I will pay 140m for Osimhen, assuming he wants to come. Kane I will stump 100m. Of course no money no honey so ok, then we just keep quite and celebrate 2nd place as win and 3rd place as consolation.
