the peeps at estato are getting some nice pictures out of their k850i..hrmm and some are complaining that the screen ripples when u press the touch sensitive buttons

btw,to those of u who posted pics of the k850i,does ur hand rest on the back panel when taking the pics?? coz some of the guys at estato are doing it and it seems they get better results when their hand/fingers are not resting on the back panel..

I'm inclined to believe the bolded part,but do u actually have proof to back up ur statement??

I've been surfing around esato this last few days and here's what i found,u must admit,the pictures are at the very least taken in decent quality

yup it would be awesome if it has unlimited sms storage. I'm a darn heavy sms user and i'm a lazy ass at deleting them

plus,this phone can categorise the messages like in folders. Example one folder for business,and another for personal stuff. So can anyone confirm whether it can store unlimited sms?? I think i've read that it can store the sms in the memory card,which is new for me since my phone can only dream of doing thath

Btw,i just asked a dude in esato regarding K850i's sms storage capacity. He said the ammount of sms u can store is only limited to the free memory on ur m2/micro-sd card. This is fabolous news!! I noe it's going to lag a bit,but i don't think i'll mind that much

And btw,is the ori set here yet?? I'm not really confident with AP phones

Ermm when u say transfer the sms to PC,is it possible using SE's software or must use 3rd party software like myPhone Explorer(which i already have and using to transfer sms from my W810i) ??


And is there a significant difference in speed between M2 card n Micro-SD?? I think Micro-SD is cheaper right?? So should I buy Micro-SD instead?? And how big is a typical 5MP pic??

And people on esato have said that it will support these cards. Java Platform 8 (which is used in K850i) is able to support up to 32GB. So it should be able to support,at least that's what almost all of the dudes in esato said

Yes it does. A user in esato already has an 8GB microSHC card in his K850i and it works fine.

Yup,martin fields has a screen protector set that comes with one screen protector and another one which sticks to the whole of the backside

hahah i have been looking forward to this phone for months and i can't really wait lol and it kinda worries me with all the bad comments people are giving it..hrmm

I went to a shop in SS2 earlier today and tested the AP K850i and OMG i think i'm in love!!

Aesthetics wise,it looks WAAAAAAAAAAY better in real life than in the pictures,and its way smaller than the pictrues show it to be.I had a look at the green coloured one and i can safely dismiss people's claims saying it as being cheap and such.The build quality is good,as i expect it to be,and the green is gorgeous!! In the pictures the green sides are somewhat 'dim' but in real life its shiny and very pretty.

Moving on to the controversial ergonomics and new UI,i found myself at home within seconds!! The keypad is really nice for me and there's no way u can manage a typo since the spacing is more than sufficient. The only potential problem i see is the section consisting of the D-pad,2 and 5 buttons,and the touch sensitive button on top. People have been suspicious of the usability of these buttons,but for the few minutes i played with the phone,i had no problems whatsoever. I found the touch sensitive buttons to be an absolute dream!! It's sensitive,but just appropriately sensitive and not so sensitive that u'll be hitting it everytime u hit the call/call end buttons. The UI seems pretty normal to me and the main menu is a bit slow but its acceptable and i expect it to be fixed soon. The media section though is pure class!! It's really nice and refreshing from the old and uninteresting file manager. As far as i can see,the menu needs a bit speeding up to make it more pleasurable to use,but other than that,I dun think anything else is needed,but of course,I only played with the phone for a few minutes

In the camera department,it's hard to say,coz u basically can't judge a 5MP pic on a 2.2in screen,so i won't comment on the picture quality. Though, the camera is pretty speedy,it takes more or less a second to focus and about 2 seconds to save it,which is quite okay for me. And plus,the blue ring at the back is simply SEXAYY!!

Overall,i'm quite pleased with the phone and its killing me to wait for the ori set lol I'm definitely getting it when it comes out.

My word of advice for those who are having doubts bout this phone,don't dismiss it just yet,go and test with it first and then judge it. Or better still,wait till its stable and judge the phone. I was doubtful about the phone as well after reading so many negative feedbacks but from what i gathered after a few minutes with the K850i,i think its a very good phone and u guys have to wait till i get my own to write a full review and then maybe the feedbacks will hold true,but then again,maybe not

yeah i went to Atlantis as well n yup,its 1.7k. Still,im waiting for the original and no one seems to know when on earth it'll be out haha any prediction for the ori price guys??

neway hope SE fix some of the bugs and issues while we're waiting for it to be released

Are u using the supplied memory card??

If ur using ur own memory card,have u format the card be4??

Ermm i think there shud be an option to move the messages to the memory card. Try press 'more' n see what option is available
